Bitfinity's Blueprint: Mapping the Road Ahead
Discover Bitfinity's exciting roadmap, from Bitcoin staking and AI integrations to ETH bridges and memecoin support. Step into the future of Bitfinity...
With our successful mainnet launch behind us, the only way to move forward is in a deliberate and systematic way. What lies ahead will determine the ultimate success of our very own ecosystem and that of Bitfinity. But we are going beyond Bitfinity today…
From key narratives such as AI-powered integrations, silly memecoins to the more than revolutionary staking solutions for Bitcoin directly on the Bitcoin blockchain without the need to wrap anything up.
Today we take a look at the plans that are brewing for the first EVM built on chain fusion technology. The Bitfinity EVM…
REAL Bitcoin Staking via Custodial Solutions
Let's first start with the most innovative and groundbreaking direction we at Bitfinity want to succeed at. As we know, Bitcoin, which is the OG of the proof of work mechanism, was unable to be staked and farmed because of the way it operated. If people wanted to earn some honest yield, it was by wrapping it or bridging their coins to wrapping protocols that went REKT in some other way.
Well, with Bitfinity this will be 'built different'. As BTC will be brought into the staking arena and change in the approach to how bitcoin holders can earn rewards.
By staking your bitcoin holdings via third-party custodians that can be verified during the staking process, we want to cater to true bitcoiners that never wanted to go off-chain in the first place.
AI-Powered Network Integrations
Next in line is AI! As the intersection between artificial intelligence continues to redefine the boundaries of our industry. It was a matter of time before it came to Bitcoin too. But now we are speaking out as we facilitate these new integrations that can be built on our own Bitfinity EVM.
We look forward to the first AI agents that form themselves in an autonomous manner and enhance our now extensive ecosystem. Some say these integrations could lead to smarter, more efficient blockchain ecosystems where machines are just machines operating other machines…
ETH Bridge & Stablecoin Integrations
The integration of an ETH bridge means that people can bridge their assets easily to the Bitcoin ecosystem and the other way around. One small step for Bitfinity but a rather big one for the end-goal of interoperability between different blockchains.
Vice versa, latest Bitcoin experimentations and fungible (Runes) and non-fungible (BRC-20) tokens minted on Bitcoin can be transferred back and forth. A greater operability and a better user experience but that's not all...
Additionally, Bitfinity is planning to provide backing for the deployment and use of stablecoins that can be incorporated in the ecosystem so it can provide a stable medium of exchange. Interesting to say the least.
Biometric Wallet (Oisy)
Next is the implementation of the OISY Wallet that will be used for interacting with Bitfinity, as it is a cutting-edge development that showcases threshold signature capabilities, or chain key signing capabilities.
The wallet functions as a smart contract on the Internet Computer, accessible directly from user browsers. This approach eliminates the need for traditional wallet plugins or the need to remember complex seed phrases.
Initially, the OISY Wallet allows users to log in using blockchain authentication mechanisms, like Internet Identity, that utilize biometric data from devices for security. Once logged in, the wallet enables users to hold and manage their tokens, as well as the bridged tokens coming from other networks (Bitcoin, ICP), directly within the wallet.
Platform Scalability Upgrades
As platforms grow, they often struggle with issues of scalability, which can lead to increased transaction costs and slower processing times. The planned scalability upgrades are expected to address these issues, employing newer layers such as our own layer-two solution that increase transaction throughput and efficiency.
As we know, Bitfinity net is designed to handle high-speed transactions and supports 1,000 transactions per second (TPS) while keeping transaction fees to a bare minimum. But this is not the end, as more updates to increase these numbers are on their way.
This makes it perfect to explore scalability in a way that user experience is not only improved but brought to perfection, for everyone.
Meme Staking & Meme Coin Support
With the development of static memes to memecoins becoming sentient with the introduction of AI, we see that the craze of memecoins due to their unique combination of entertainment, interaction, and expected ROI is going to be prolonged.
Hate it or love it, you can see blind speculation or seek another way where you can earn yield while other people gamble away their life savings.
Finally, Bitfinity supports the inclusion of meme staking and memecoin support with a nod to ALL players in crypto that make the space silly and meme-able.
Meme staking could introduce a fun, engaging way to participate in the ecosystem, potentially attracting a broader, more diverse group of users than before. It may be not suited for everyone...
Conclusion
These roadmap items on the horizon mark a strategic approach to both the 'current thing' and the things that truly matter and are revolutionary.
From AI integrations to memecoin staking as well as offering a way to earn Bitcoin yield on-chain, you can rest assured that Bitfinity wants to offer it all.
And with more and more interest in building on Bitcoin, each element of the roadmap is being catered to by new experimental projects that will sooner than later succeed in what they envision.
As these developments unfold, they will likely set new standards in the industry and possibly attract a wave of new users eager to engage with a new way of using Bitcoin as a foundational network. They will have a symbiotic relationship with Bitfinity and beyond.
